First of all, what is Amazon?

Amazon is a digital enterprise that sells books, music, electronics, toys etc.

In simple words, Amazon is just like Jumia. They do almost the same thing.

But one special thing about Amazon is that, it is known popularly for an online marketplace where you can buy books. Hence, Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) According to Statista(dot)com, Amazon(dot)com had a total of over 2.2billion visits  in February 2022. Meaning, millions and billions of people from around the world buy something, either a book or gadget through Amazon.

What is Amazon KDP?

Amazon Kdp is simply a platform in Amazon where writers can publish their books for Free without passing through the stress of going to a publishing house. Amazon takes care of everything.

 

All you need is to create a book, or an information product.

You don't need to write a 100 or 300pages book before you can publish there. I wouldn't have been telling you about Amazon Kdp self if it is compulsory to publish a book with only plenty pages.

Here are some of the things you can publish on Amazon Kdp:

• Reports (they can even be only 18 or 20 pages)

• Book series

• Summary of a book

• People's Biography

• Comics

• Journals

• Children's books

• Novels etc

The list is endless...

Let's do small calculation, imagine you publish just 100 short books that are selling at $10 each. How much do you think you'll be making if all your books are selling? 100*$10=$1,000 ,and this is even if you're lazy, I've heard of people publishing over 1,000 books and they're making millions weekly. The amazing part is that, only Amazon sells the book for you, meaning you can choose to publicize your book or not. Amazon has alot of audience already.

First of all, what makes you think you'll not make money from it? Anyways, if you should follow all the guide that has also make other people just like you millions of naira, then you can't be an exemption. The only issue is, will you "follow who know road?" Before we move to question 4, let's do a little calculation, what if you successfully publish 150 books  and each book is selling for $20. All the 150 books may not be selling once though, but let's imagine only 100 out of 150 are selling  $20*100= $2,000= N1,200,000 This is not magic, it is real  Let's continue

Well, I know of my friends mother who is currently doing Amazon Kdp and as at the last time I checked, she has made over $100 I also know a guy who know nothing about writing, but by just following simple guides and instructions, he have made over $1,000  . The simple truth is, if you can commit at least an hour to learn the process daily and also apply them, you will definitely succeed

Using a laptop makes it much more  easier but not having a laptop should not be an excuse. Even though I have a laptop s, I'm just using my phone currently because I prefer it.

How long will it take to start making money?. This question is so funny though, but the true answer is, it totally depends on you. Some people make money in their first month of publishing, some in their second and surprising some in their first week.

What if I don't make money what will happen?. My first answer is why are you praying a negative prayer for yourself? Why not become optimistic rather than being pessimistic? Well, if you don't make money, then it's your own FAULT.
