APC national chairman admits February 25 elections was not perfect
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress of Nigeria, Senator Abdullahi Adamu admitted that on February 25 the course of the presidential election and the national assembly was not perfect.
Adamu admitted this during a PCA National Working Committee interview with President-elect Bola Tinubu; Elected Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima and elected members of the National Assembly However, he said, “there were no allegations of vote buying and outrage of all other evils connected with the conduct of elections.
The Senate President Ahmed Lawan also spoke at the meeting; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; Minister of Public Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola; Among others, Senator Godswill Akpabio, National President of APC said;
"I sincerely congratulate all honorable men and women. I congratulate you all. You are the new Nigerian team. From May 29 of this year. the burden of our national unity, peace and development falls on your shoulders as a team.
"It is fair and honorable to admit that the February 25 elections were not perfect We didn't set out to have a perfect election.
"The history of the world does not have examples of perfect elections Like all other democratic nations, we are committed to holding free, fair and credible elections. We did it.
“I am proud to say that we have achieved this and fulfilled President Muhammadu Buhari's promise to the people For the first time in living memory, there were no allegations of vote buying and no clamor for all the other evils surrounding the conduct of our elections because of our elections Rigging may not be dead, but he is decapitated Our democracy is maturing and we are growing with it.
"Based on the 2023 February 25 with the results of the general election so far declared by the electoral referee INEC, the APC has won the presidency, clean and clear, with a majority in both houses of the National Assembly.
