WOMAN SENTENCED TO DEATH AFTER FALSE ALLEGATIONS OF BEING RAPED

 A woman has been jailed for eight-and-a-half years after she injured herself with a hammer after falsely reporting gang harassment.



Eleonor Williams, 22, from Barrow, UK, was sentenced on, Tuesday 14 March.


She was previously convicted of eight counts of perverting the course of justice after accusing five men of raping her, which landed her in prison and ruined the lives of others.


Williams was 16 when she first falsely claimed she had been raped at a party in Barrow She later claimed she was raped after a night at a Manhattan nightclub where she worked, and again at her apartment by the same man


She went on to say that she was cared for from the age of 12, forced to attend sex parties in the north of England and taken to Ibiza where the abuse continued She said she was sold into slavery at an auction in Amsterdam while on holiday with her sister


Williams in 2020 In May, she posted photos of her injuries on Facebook and the story of how she was treated, trafficked and beaten.

This sparked demonstrations in his home town and brought English Defense League founder Tommy Robinson to town to "investigate" the claims 

In a letter to the judges, Williams apologized for "a few mistakes" and said she was "young and confused"

She wrote: “I know I made mistakes and I'm sorry, but I was young and confused When I wrote the Facebook post, I never intended to cause problems for the community I am devastated by his impact on Barrow I was released from the hospital that morning and I was in bad shape... I wasn't thinking straight


"My family and I have publicly stated that we do not want Tommy Robinson in town because I don't agree with his views and I know the damage he has done."


Some of the wrongly accused men gave statements before his sentencing and opened up about the impact the charges had on their lives


Jordan Trengove, who has been arrested three times on trumped-up charges, said: “We sprayed the word 'rapist' on the house
